NEW SERVICE - WALK IN SURGERY
TUESDAY & THURSDAY 1.30pm – 2.30pm
In response to requests from patients and the practice patient group to provide better access to appointments, with effect from 2nd September 2014, we will be introducing a new 'Walk In Surgery' which will be held each Tuesday and Thursday from 1.30pm - 2.30 pm.
All patients wishing to use this service should attend in person between 1.30-2.30. Booking in for this surgery will not be accepted by telephone and will end strictly at 2.30pm. Patients will not be booked in before 1.30.
Please be aware that this is a 'Walk In Surgery' with no fixed appointment times so most patients will have to wait to be seen. Patients will be seen in order of arrival but priority may be given to emergency cases. Patients will be seen by the first available Doctor during these clinics, you will not be able to choose who you see. There is currently an average waiting time of up to 55 minutes.Anyone being abusive to the reception team or other patients will be refused an appointment and removed from the practice list.
If you need to see a specific Doctor then please ask for a routine appointment.
Our telephone number is changing.Following discussions with the Patient Participation Group and our patients we have managed to negotiate the removal of the 084 number.
The 084 number will be removed from the 23rd July and we will move to just having our current 01274 number. This number will give the same functionality as the 084 number.
LIFELINE is a specialist alcohol detox service that offers a friendly, free and confidential service. They are now holding appointment only clinics on a Friday afternoon for our patients. For more information please speak to reception.

Would you like to make your record shareable to services that might care for you in the future or the services that are currently taking care of you?
Would you like your doctor to be able to see information recorded by those other services?
You now have the choice to ask your practice to make it possible to share your records should the need arise. Setting this up does not mean that anyone can look at your records. They still have to ask for your permission. If you would like to arrange this option please ask at reception. The choice you record can be changed at any time.
If you have difficulty remembering your appointment. Sign up for our SMS text reminder service. Ask at reception for details.
Stay well this winter with the help of a new NHS website
Winter is traditionally a very busy time for GPs and hospitals. It brings with it illnesses and ailments such as flu, coughs and colds and Norovirus (the winter vomiting bug.)
That’s why it pays to be prepared so that you can stay well during this period. And a new campaign, launched by doctors in Bradford and Airedale, will help you do exactly that.
Listen out for adverts which will be aired on local radio stations and take a look at the new site online, http://www.nhsstaywell.org/
